WH: Walk Bike to School Day
Get ready to walk, roll, and have some fun!
Join the Cougar Community for Walk or Bike to School Day on Wednesday, October 8.
Grab your friends, ride together, or form a walking group—it’s the perfect way to start your day with fresh air, stay active, and connect with neighbors! Plus, the fun doesn’t stop when you arrive at school—everyone who participates will get fun prizes, and you’ll also earn raffle tickets for a chance to win exciting grand prizes!
Drop-off points:
• Walnut Blvd. & McConnell Lane @8:35 am
• Walnut Blvd. & Fraser Drive @8:35 am
Parent volunteers will be stationed at these locations to accompany students to school. Your participation is key to making the morning both safe and fun!
Safety Tips for Walk or Bike to School:
1. There are four pedestrian crosswalks along Walnut Blvd. Street parking is available on Fraser, Sutherland, McConnell, and Terra Bella.
2. To stay safe, always walk or ride on the sidewalks and use the school fencing as you enter the campus. Avoid crossing through the parking lot entrances or exits.
3. Riders, wear your helmets, give a clear signal before passing pedestrians, and remember to lock your bikes in the campus racks.
Let’s make this a fun, active, and safe event for everyone!
Here’s how you can get involved:
1. Help distribute prizes to students as they arrive by foot or bike.
2. Sign up to lead walking groups from our drop-off points and ensure a safe journey to school for our kids.
