Walk/Bike to School Week
Did you know that walk/bike to school week is an international event? Schools all across the globe will join us in walking, biking, skipping and rolling to school October 3-7. Not only is it good for your body, but the environment benefits too. Consider getting a group of parents and kids to walk to school that week. We will have drop off points at Walnut Blvd./McConnell Lane and Walnut Blvd./Frasier Drive. Kids will be escorted to school by a chaperone who will help them safely get to school and receive a prize. Don’t worry, every child can receive a prize regardless of how they arrive at school.
We're looking for parent volunteers to help with this fun event. There are two ways that you can volunteer. You can help pass out prizes at school as walkers or bikers come to school or you can sign up to walk kids from our morning drop off points to escort children to school safely.
